We had 30 Road Runners competing in April Time Trial tonight. It was a lovely spring evening, although the temperature was starting to drop as the race started. It was the first Time Trial on the summer course around the loch, and we had some outstanding performance. Patricia Allen was first female in 34:23 and Kevin Durnian was first male in 26:44, with both Patricia and Kevin taking about 2 minutes off their estimated times. The wooden spoon (The Jim Tracey Award) went to John Burns for a most forgettable performance, however, in his defense he is in the final stages of marathon training and speed is not on his agenda.
Additionally, William Martin was presented with a cake by Patricia Allen to mark his 60th birthday. Congratulations from everybody at the club.
Thanks go to Irene Kerr, Lynsey Sneddon and Elizabeth Martin for helping out this evening.
