We has another good turn out of 27 at the July Time Trial. Apart from a slight breeze on the outward stretch of the loch the conditions were excellent for a fast 4 miles.
Again we had some excellent runs with Susan Stewart winning the female race in a PB of 28:54 and John Burns taking first place in the men’s race in 29:04 which was a minute faster than he has ran for some time. Elaine Jamieson picked up the Wooden Spoon (The Jim Tracey Award) after plodding round the loch in an unexpectedly slow time of 32:20.
A special mention goes to Craig Mackenzie who set a new PB in a great time of 22:16.
Thanks again to Anne Hughes, Irene Kerr and Lynsey Sneddon for helping out and making the time trial run smoothly, and to John Hughes for presenting the trophies.
