We had another good turnout of 25 Road Runners at this evening’s time trial on what felt like Winter rather than first week of Summer. Although the inclement weather did not deter our hardened athletes from braving the elements and returning some good performances.
Mae McIsaac won the women’s race in 32:44 and Jim Tracey won the men’s race in 32:48. Well done to both of them and the rest of the participants. Donald McCaffer picked up the Wooden Spoon (The Jim Tracey Award) in an uncharacteristically slow time which will remain a secret.
Thanks to Phyllis Hands for stepping in to present the awards and to Irene Kerr, Anne Hughes and Lynsey Sneddon for helping out on a wet and blustery evening.
