SAIL – Scottish Athletics Indoor League

SAIL (the Scottish Athletics Indoor League) marks the start of the indoor season for Motherwell AC. There are three competitions days/matches for the 2015/16 season: 6 December 2015, 10 January 2016 and 31 January 2016. These matches take place at 9:30am in the Emirates Arena, Glasgow and usually run until around 2pm. Teams are selected by coaches from each age group (U11- U20) and discipline for a number of prescribed races and field events. Selections are based and depend on which events are taking place and how athletes have performed in training. Every effort is made to provide an opportunity to those athletes who want to compete and who train regularly, to take part in at least one event over the course of the three matches. If you/your child hasn’t been contacted by a coach in relation to the match on 6 December, you/they may still be considered for subsequent matches. Please let a coach know if you/your child is interested in competing.
