We managed to have our first time trial since February, and it was great to be back – of course following all Scottish Athletics Covid-19 Level Framework.

We had 19 competing in this morning’s event – 15 in one group at Strathclyde Park with another four competitors in our South Lanarkshire Group over in Palace Grounds.

1st Male was Alistair Loudon in 29:50. First female across the ‘line’ was Phyllis Hands in 31:44. The wooden spoon was picked up by Nick Hughes over in Palace grounds in 24;59 which is quite a respectful time but well off Nick’s best.

Alistair Loudon also won the Donald McCaffer Memorial Quaich. The Quaich was presented to Alistair by Donald’s daughter Gillian.

Ewen Cameron picked up his award for 2nd place in the 2019/20 Senior Endurance Cross Country Championship.

Thanks to Anne Hughes, Alan Strang, Jim Tracey, Ewen Cameron and Kevin Durnian for helping out wet Saturday morning. The full results and all of the photographs will follow later today.
