Virtual Scottish Athletics Road Challenge
The recent Virtual Scottish Athletics Road Challenge saw 13 senior endurance athletes represent Motherwell AC over the three available distances.
In the 3k event, 7 athletes took part resulting in MAC scoring two full teams (finishing 21st and 49th):

Alastair Loudon – 12:17
Claire Pollard – 13:05
Clare Barr – 13:14
Kevin Mcphillips – 13:47
The 10k event saw three entrants, and they led the team to an 11th place finish:
David Gardiner – 36:50
Scott Kelman – 47:50
Gary Arthur – 49:51
The longest event – the half marathon – had a trio of males taking part, with their team in 7th position:
Paul Burns – 1:18:59
David Hoolaghan – 1:43:22
Douglas Samson – 2:03:47
A special mention has to be given to Stephen Allen, David Gardiner and Paul Burns, each of whom were fastest in their age category. Well done! Also worthy of note is Claire Pollard for representing MAC for the first time, having only joined the club last week.
The next virtual event is in just over a week, a 3K-only challenge:
